Daniela Cardoso Mattos – aka "Yogi Mommy" – is offering a free meditation class for Mom MeetUps! New moms with babies that are not yet mobile (pre-crawling) are welcome to attend.
This is a free class, but registration is required since space is limited.
Many of us are already familiar with all of the benefits of meditation: better sleep, lower risk of depression and less anxiety – to name a few. But many of us don't take the time to do it.
Join other moms in this class where we will explore and learn more about meditation techniques and how they can help you. No experience needed, just an open mind. As mothers, we are always giving love and attention and a lot of time to others and often forget to give that to ourselves.
Meditation can develop our self-awareness and help us to better understand our actions, feelings, thoughts and perceptions. By improving awareness and seeing our habits, we are able to respond instead of react to situations we face every day and get in touch with our Hearts.
We will spend the first half of the class doing a guided meditation. During the second half, we will enjoy some conversation, cold yogi tea and brigadeiros. Young babies are welcome (no crawling). Please note that strollers must be left in the hallway just outside of the studio, but car seats can be carried into the studio room.

Inspired by her journey through motherhood and to combat chronic back pain, Daniela left her job in finance to focus on meditation. A mother of two, she takes great joy in helping others, especially other mothers, to learn relax, reduce anxiety, and be more present.
