Come on out to Family Fun Night on the Stuy Town Oval for an evening of relaxing jazz music while your kids wreak havoc on the lawn.

Jazz for Juniors will feature Matthew Rybicki on the bass.
Raised in Cleveland, OH, Matthew Rybicki has performed with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, as well as a number of other famous jazz musicians. He has performed at many well-respected NYC venues, such as The Village Vanguard and The Blue Note, as well as concert halls and festivals around the world. Matthew has also performed in the orchestras of Broadway’s “The Lion King," “Aida," “On the 20th Century," “The Color Purple," and the Radio City Christmas and Spring Spectaculars, featuring the Rockettes.
By day, he is an artist/instructor for Jazz at Lincoln Center, where he developed and taught the inaugural bass course in the Essentially Ellington Band Director Academy. He has also directed and led several educational performance initiatives, including: Jazz in the Schools; hospital tours in conjunction with Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts’ Department of Services for People with Disabilities; and a museum initiative with The Whitney Museum of American Art and The Guggenheim, incorporating jazz with fine art.
